詞意辨析：

among, between, amid, amongst

這些前置詞均含“在……之間，在……之中”之意。
among: 指三者或三者以上的同類事物之間。
between: 多指兩者之間，但現代英文中也可指三者或三者以上，表示彼此間清楚的獨立的個體關係。
amid: 正式用詞，側重指在某個地方的中間或被某個東西包圍著或在非同類人中間。
amongst: 與among同義，是among的變體。一般說來among總能替代amongst,而amongst則不然。
